About Thethreadsy
Not a factory.
A studio.
Thethreadsy started in a small room with a single crochet hook and a box of yarn. No business plan. No branding deck. Just the quiet satisfaction of making something with your hands and the curiosity to see if anyone else would care about it.
They did. And so we kept making.

We don't make things quickly. We make things carefully. Each piece carries the time it took to create it — and you can feel that when you hold it.

The maker
Started with a hook
and a question
It started as a way to be still. To do something with my hands while the rest of the world moved too fast. The first thing I made was terrible — misshapen, the wrong color, tension all over the place. But there was something in the making that felt right.
The second thing was better. The third was something I wanted to give to someone. By the tenth, I realized this wasn't a phase — it was a practice.
Thethreadsy exists because I wanted to see if handmade could feel modern. If something crocheted could sit next to something designed and hold its own. If the texture of yarn could compete with the smoothness of machine-made.
It can. It does.
Craft Philosophy
What we hold to
Time is material
A tote bag takes 10 hours. A plushie takes 6. We don't apologize for this. The time is part of what you're holding when you receive it. It's what makes a handmade thing different from a manufactured one.
Imperfection is information
A slight variation in tension. A color that shifts between skeins. A stitch that sits a little differently. These aren't defects — they're evidence. Proof that a person made this, not a program.
Fewer, better things
We don't release collections on a schedule. We make things when they're ready. We'd rather sell ten pieces that someone keeps for ten years than a hundred that end up in a drawer.
Slow fashion
Against fast, against disposable
We exist in opposition to fast fashion. Not loudly, not angrily — just quietly, by making things that last and pricing them honestly.
Every piece you buy from us removes one purchase from the fast fashion cycle. It supports a maker, not a machine. It creates something with character, not just function.
We don't use the word “sustainable” loosely. Our materials are chosen for durability and feel. Our packaging is minimal and recyclable. Our production is zero-waste — leftover yarn becomes keychains and small accessories.
