Cancellation & Refunds

Every Thethreadsy piece is handmade to order. This policy explains when you can cancel, when we issue refunds, and how the process works.

Cancellations

You can cancel your order for any reason, free of charge, within 12 hours of placing it.

To cancel, email hello@thethreadsy.in with your order number. Once the 12-hour window has passed and we have begun crafting your piece, cancellations are no longer possible — please see the refund rules below.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was described:

  • Email us at hello@thethreadsy.in within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Include photographs of the damage and the original packaging.
  • We will either replace the item or issue a full refund — whichever you prefer.

Reports made after 48 hours can still be reviewed but we cannot guarantee a refund or replacement.

Returns & Change-of-Mind

Because every piece is handmade specifically for you, we do not accept returns for change of mind, sizing preferences, or colour preferences once the order has been delivered.

We strongly encourage you to:

  • Review product photos carefully before ordering.
  • Read product descriptions, including dimensions and materials.
  • Reach out via contact if you have any questions before purchasing.

Custom Orders

Custom and bespoke orders are non-refundable once crafting has begun, except in the case of a clear defect or significant error on our part. Before crafting begins, we will share a brief or a check-in for your approval. Once approved, the order proceeds to production and cannot be refunded.

Refund Process

Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days of approval to the original payment method used at checkout.

  • UPI / Card / Net banking refunds typically appear in your account within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank.
  • If you do not see the refund after 10 working days, please contact us — we will share the refund reference and follow up with Razorpay on your behalf.

Refunds are issued only to the original payment instrument. We do not offer cash refunds or transfers to other accounts.

Exchanges

Exchanges are handled case by case. If the item you received is not what you expected — but isn't damaged or defective — please reach out within 7 days of delivery. We will do our best to find a workable solution, though we cannot guarantee an exchange.

Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part. For approved returns of defective items, we will arrange and pay for return shipping.
