Shipping & Returns
Everything you need to know about how we send your order and how we handle it if something isn't right.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
All Thethreadsy pieces are handmade to order. After your order is placed, we begin crafting your piece — this typically takes 3–5 working days. Once ready, orders are shipped via standard courier and typically arrive within 2–4 working days.
What is the total delivery time?
End-to-end, most orders arrive within 7–10 working days. Custom or complex orders may take up to 14 working days. We will always communicate clearly if there are delays.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship across India. International shipping is not available yet — but we're working on it. If you're based outside India and would like to place an order, please get in touch.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is ₹99 per order. Orders above ₹999 qualify for free shipping automatically — no code needed.
Do you ship to remote areas?
We ship to most PIN codes across India via our courier partners. In some cases, delivery to remote or hilly areas may take an additional 1–2 days.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my order?
Because each piece is individually handmade to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. However, if your item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was described, we will make it right — no questions asked.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please photograph the damage immediately upon receipt and email us at hello@thethreadsy.in within 48 hours of delivery. We will either replace the item or issue a full refund — whichever you prefer.
Can I exchange for a different product?
Exchanges are handled case by case. If the item you received is not what you expected, please reach out and we will do our best to find a solution.
What about custom orders?
Custom orders are non-refundable once we have begun crafting, unless the final piece has a defect or significant error on our part. We will always share a preview or check-in before completing a custom piece.
Orders & Payments
When will payment be collected?
After placing your order, we will confirm via email with payment details. We currently accept bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS), UPI, and will shortly be integrating an online payment gateway.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
You can modify or cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it, before we begin crafting. After that, the piece is in progress and cancellations may not be possible. Please email us immediately if you need to make changes.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes — you'll receive a confirmation email once your order is placed and another when it ships with a tracking number.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes. All orders come wrapped in tissue paper with a handwritten note. If you'd like to add a custom gift message, you can include it in the Order Notes field at checkout.
Custom Orders
Do you take custom orders?
Yes — this is one of our favorite things to do. We accept custom orders for colors, sizes, characters, and entirely new designs. The minimum lead time for a custom piece is 7 days.
How do I request a custom piece?
Get in touch via our contact page or email hello@thethreadsy.in. Tell us what you have in mind — colors, size, purpose, any reference images. We will come back to you with a quote and timeline.
How are custom orders priced?
Pricing for custom pieces is quoted individually based on complexity and materials. We aim to be fair and transparent — you will receive a detailed quote before any work begins.
